About the Role: Wills Consultants are looking for an enthusiastic Senior Assistive Technology Trainer.

As an AT Trainer, you will be providing in person training attending customers schools, universities and work places. You will play a pivotal role in providing training on AT software and hardware to individuals with disabilities, including those with visual sensory impairment and specific learning difficulties. Additionally, you will lead our AT Training Team in Scotland, ensuring exceptional service delivery and effective resource management.

 

As a Senior Assistive Technology Trainer, you will:

  • Lead and manage the AT Training Team in Scotland, including performance management
  • Coordinate training administration and team resources efficiently
  • Conduct initial assessments to determine individual training requirements
  • Provide tailored training on recommended software and hardware based on needs assessments (home based and customer’s workplace or home)
  • Continuously learn and adapt to new assistive technologies, managing CPD for the team
  • Deliver training in adherence to quality guidelines and codes of conduct
  • Manage post-training reports and paperwork accurately and promptly.
  • Handle customer feedback and complaints resolution with professionalism
  • Support the Head of Education in managing key customer relationships

 

Requirements:

  • A driving license will be required for this role as this role will include frequent travel to customers throughout Scotland and occasional travel throughout the UK for events and company meetings.
  • Experience in teaching or training on computer software and hardware
  • Familiarity with working with disabled individuals or those with specific learning differences
  • Proficiency in teaching/training on AT hardware and software
  • Ability to assess learners’ needs and devise Individual Learning Plans
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confidence in working independently with learners
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Commitment to upholding quality standards in all tasks
